ESTIMATED TUITION & LIVING EXPENSES

The amounts listed below are the average estimated costs for an international student to attend LSU for an academic year (nine months).  These dollar amounts will be listed on the Form I-20 issued by LSU for F-1 visa applicants or F-1 visa holders (if already in the United States).

 

NOTE: Tuition, fees and insurance are subject to change without notice.  * Tuition & Fees includes all mandatory costs: Required Fees, Academic Excellence Fee, Technology Fee, Utility Surcharge, Operational Fee, International Cultural Center Fee ($10.00), and International Compliance Fee ($50.00).

** Full assistantships include optional insurance benefit of $700 per year.

Full-time enrollment is required during fall and spring semesters: 

Undergraduate students: 12+ hours; Graduate students: 9+ hours

Students may choose no enrollment, part-time enrollment or full-time enrollment during the summer semester (unless the summer semester is the first semester of enrollment).

The amount given for living expenses and for books and supplies are minimal estimates. Most students will spend more than these estimates. Note that no estimated amounts are included for costs such as clothing, transportation, travel, medical costs not covered by insurance and other incidentals.
