New Incoming Students

You are automatically billed $273.00 for the BASIC insurance plan at the beginning of the Summer 2012 semester once you register for classes.

Upgrading From Basic Plan To Enhanced  Plan:

Only new (students) incoming F Visa status holders arriving in summer 2012 semester are eligible to select from the higher level plan, Plan 2 (Enhanced). This request must be made at International Services by filling out the "Summer 2012 Insurance Request Form" no later than Tuesday, June 12, 2012 (absolute deadline date.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.)  This form is located at the front desk of International Services in 101 Hatcher Hall or can be downloaded from here. The charge for the Enhanced Plan will be added to the student's account after the student completes registration (payment of fees.) Students are responsible for checking their PAWS account to confirm the insurance charge was added to their account for Summer 2012.

PLEASE NOTE:

·         J students may only enroll in the BASIC Plan based on US Department of State regulations.

·         IMPORTANT: All F and J visa holders who want LSU's Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan should not select the plan via PAWS. All F visa holders only who want to upgrade the ENHANCED plan should not select the plan via PAWS. THIS WILL CAUSE ERRORS ON YOUR FEE BILL AND INSURANCE PROBLEMS.
