NEW
INCOMING STUDENTS FOR SPRING, 2012
Please be aware that your spring LSU medical health
insurance coverage will not begin until January 6,
2012. If you plan on arriving in the United States
prior to January 6, 2012, you should purchase a private
medical health insurance policy to cover you until
January 5, 2012. If you choose not to purchase a
private medical health insurance policy to cover you
from your arrival date to January 5, 2012, you will NOT
have medical health insurance coverage.
This means you will be required to pay for all medical
expenses prior to January 6, 2012. |
SPRING 2012 SEMESTER:
It is mandatory that all non-immigrant international students who
hold F and J visa statuses have health insurance which is acceptable
to the University.
-
This includes part-time and full-time registration. Under LSU
Student Accident & Sickness Insurance Plan (SASIP), students
with F visa status and J visa status will be automatically
charged $539.00 for the BASIC PLAN, PLAN 1, which includes a
repatriation/medical evacuation fee. ONLY currently enrolled
students who enrolled in the ENHANCED PLAN, PLAN 2, will be
automatically charged for the ENHANCED plan. Please click on
the links below to review “CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS" and “NEW
INCOMING STUDENTS.”
-
This charge provides students with medical health insurance
coverage from January 6, 2012 through August 13, 2012.
-
PLEASE NOTE:
Do not select the insurance plan through PAWS or Macori, Inc. on
line website if you hold F or J visa status. THIS WILL CAUSE
ERRORS ON YOUR FEE BILL.

insurance company) directly at 1-800-285-8133 or visit
